Friday Caption Contest: Cargobikearama!

It’s been a while since our last competition – our team of judges were too busy laughing themselves sick at the entries. But the winner is…

Andrew: “Dave was still trying to prove that the ideal number of bikes was N+1”

because the truth of it hurt too much. Your prize is in the post – just as soon as the runners up collect theirs.

This week’s photo comes from our good friend Mikael Colville-Andersen and the happy people of Copenhagen:

Apparently this is a fairly regular scene in Copenhagen – those Danes, huh?!

Best caption for this photo wins a fabulous prize: A fortnight’s all-expenses-paid holiday in the wonderful city of Copenhagen. And as much Carlsberg as you can drink. And a new bike. And a government that cares about reducing congestion, pollution & obesity.

I did tell you this is a fantasy caption contest, didn’t I?

Good luck!

Not a caption, just a comment. I’ve always thought that Forbrydelsen would be a bit more cheerful if Lund rode about on a bicycle. You know, with pink tassles on the handlebar grips. Maybe a basket. What? No, *you’re* drunk!

  2. Koen says:

Jon never realized he lost his mum on the way home

  3. ofoab says:

    Danish MacAskell?Danny does Copenhagen

  4. Koen says:

Just a touch of helium in the front tire and your bike will ride a lot lighter. Especially if it’s a cargo bike

  5. Joram says:

Those elderly people with too much time on their hands will try just anything to get attention

  6. Nathan says:

Expat dreams of the hills of home…

  7. Andrew says:

In true British Triathlon Federation style Eljnar was applauded for wheelying out of transition one and then immediately disqualified for not wearing a helmet!

  8. If I can just get this baby up to 88mph…

  9. Thirsa says:

Look Mummy what I can do, without no hands!!

  10. Highwayman says:

    Cleared for Take-off!

  11. Andrew says:

The cargo of helium was proving to be a problematic delivery.

  12. Not a caption just the realisation that I am now a cargo bike nerd: I recognised the make of the bike as soon as I saw it…
