My Peter Pan Life

I was at a health & wellbeing event last week for work. One of the other exhibitors as Northumbria University’s Sport Central, who were doing all sorts of health & fitness tests on willing victims volunteers.

After one of my colleagues had done the test, and found out that her metabolic age was 32, compared with the mid-forties that her birth certificate claims, I of course had to have a go. I’m almost 43, so I was a smug as a very smug thing to be told I had the body of a 27 year-old.

I guess that the pair of us are living proof of the much-quoted statistic that regular cyclists have levels of health & fitness of people ten years younger.
